 CLASSES at Rhythm Traders

Starting Saturdays- December 2, 2023

I have been instructing for over three decades in workshops at Rhythm Traders, private home instruction, schools, camps and many other situations . I would also enjoy the opportunity to work with you as well! I have studied with and have had instruction from many recognized master teachers and world class performers. My performance opportunities includes world wide experiences.

Due to the influence of the global pandemic, my personal situation has not permitted me in person group workshops for the last few years.  However, I’m happy to say the wonders of technology allow me to offer LIVE  learning options for beginning and experienced  Conga and Djembe drummers.

 

Djembe Explore: 12:00 – 1:15 PM (PST) Saturdays

Intended for those with little to no experience and are looking to learn basic sound production with West African rhythm structure from the Malinke ethnic group.

Experienced Djembe: 1:30 – 2:45 PM (PST) Saturdays 
This workshop will be for those who have successfully moved beyond basic sounds and are familiar with several Malinke rhythms.
Conga Explore: 3:30 – 4:45  PM (PST) Saturdays 
Intended for those with little to no experience and are looking to learn basic sound production with Afro Caribbean rhythm structures.
 
***Experienced Conga: TBA  Saturdays ***
This workshop will be for those who have successfully moved beyond basic sounds and are familiar with several Afro Caribbean rhythms.

RHYTHM TRADERS SCHOOL OF RHYTHM GROUP CLASS offerings are $20 each

 Pre-registration is encouraged for Group lessons but not mandatory and classes are limited to 8 participants. Drop -ins will be accommodated as space allows. Payment can be made online by credit card, Venmo, Shop Pay and PayPal.
